Calcined kaolin, also known as calcined kaolinite or china clay, is widely used as extenders and fillers in production of papers and pigments. It is the ideally replacement of Titanium Dioxide and other less cost-effective extender pigments as it can provide similar brightness, opacity and print-through resistance.
